Poetry book launch - The Anunnaki Season: The Green Booklet

Amika Elfendi has thought poetically since the day he became self-aware. Due to his inability to speak until he was almost three years old, he has relied on the magical device of words that hang together like a string of pearls.

The title "The Anunnaki Season: The Green Booklet" has various meanings and is symbolically heavy for the poet. It is both a statement that the poems are prophetic, like the words of the Sumerian Anunnaki gods; and on the other hand a kind of ironic "homage" to Muammar Gaddafi's The Green Book.

Amika and Ilavenil Vasuky Jayapalan will talk about the creation of "The Anunnaki Season”, there will be a reading aloud, signing, and a personal exhibition on the 2nd floor at Baba Bar.

Ilavenil Vasuky Jayapalan (b. 1991) transdisciplinary artist of Eelam Tamil origin based in Oslo, Norway. Jayapalans works are highly inspired by the world of cinema, music and media. Often evolving around the tension between national consciousness and collective unconsciousness, the notion of freedom, truth and desire to speculative futures that depart from the contemporary fringes of society.
