The celebration of a Norwegian folk sensation
For twenty years, Majorstuen has explored the Norwegian folk music heritage and presented their own stylistically strong compositions. Their exploratory and humorous approach to music has given them many awards and recruited new audiences to the folk music genre. Their constant desire to challenge themselves, their untraditional use of fiddles, viola and cello, as well as their innovation and communication on stage, has impressed and moved people of all ages, all across the world. For the concert, Majorstuen will bring hits from their long career and new music from the anniversary album «Jubel». The latter marks both an exclamation mark and a dot for the band, who now ends their journey, after twenty years of making great music together. What better way to end the adventure, than to bring in former star members Ragnhild Furebotten, Andreas Ljones and Gjermund Larsen as guests for this big celebration?
