A.CHAL (Peru/USA)

Catchy and observant Peruvian diaspora pop.

A.CHAL is experiencing a moment right now, and it is not just evident from the wider pop world or the streaming statistics: we have gotten countless requests for him from you guys this year. And we are proud to come through! The singer, songwriter, and producer was born in Peru and raised between Queens, New York, and Massachusetts. His sound was shaped by alternative R&B, trap, atmospheric hip hop, and a psychedelic sensibility that always placed him outside traditional molds.

In recent years, A.CHAL - or Alejandro Salazar, which is his birth name - has entered a deeper and more personal chapter: a direct  reconnection with his Peruvian identity, his spirituality, and the popular sounds that  shaped his origins: Electronic music, rap, cumbia and beyond. His current universe is deeper and more profound than ever. It blends the street, migration, desire, subtle class differences, roots, and mysticism.

Rather than trying to fit into the mainstream, he has created his own language out of displacement, memories, and his pride in being Peruvian. He is not alone in this – in 2026, Oslo World are proud to present several artists from a new wave of Andean music: The duo Los Thuthanaka and Renata Flores, a collaborator with A.CHAL who is performing the same night at Nasjonal Jazzscene. In addition to ordinary tickets, double tickets for the whole evening are available at a discount, and come highly recommended.

Dobbeltbillett Renata Flores + A.CHAL

Renata Flores and A.CHAL will play the same evening at Nasjonal Jazzscene. A double ticket is available for the concerts, and are highly recommended.
