Færden/Murakami (Norway/Brazil)

Brazilian Luiz Murakami and Norwegian Tuva Færden met for the first time at a festival in Switzerland in 2019, and a beautiful collaboration was born.

In their musical meeting, they discovered similarities between Brazilian and Norwegian folk music, for example the connection between the harding fiddle and the Brazilian instrument rabeca. The discoveries gave the musicians inspiration to explore music from different parts of the world through Norwegian-Brazilian lenses, interpreted on guitar, harding fiddle, lyre and shakuhachi flute. 

The debut album will be released during Oslo World, followed by a tour in Norway, Europe, Brazil and Japan.
