André Marmot is a musician, agent, and music journalist. Since 2018, he has worked at London’s Earth Agency, operating at the intersection of African music, jazz, and global electronic music
Beyond his work as an agent, he is the author of Unapologetic Expression, a book exploring the political and cultural context of the new wave of British jazz. It was published in May 2024 by Faber & Faber. He also continues to perform as a percussionist with the beloved Afro-electronic band Afriquoi and is a passionate believer in music’s power to connect people across cultural and social boundaries.
On the Wednesday of Oslo World, he will join Jazznytt editors Filip Roshauw and Audun Vinger for an Oslo World edition of "Jazznytt på Loftet" at Becco, starting at 4:00 PM.
