Mother of a Nation" is a musical monologue based on the lives of Nosizwe's grandmother and mother, as well as the main character's own journey. Through memories, interviews, imagination, testimonies and music, we gain an insight into the lives of three women, in three different eras and three different socio-political contexts, linked by blood ties and life experiences. We meet stories about love and family, loss and trauma, migration and identity

Nosizwe Baqwa has marked herself as a clear voice in Norwegian cultural life and public debate. She is an artist, singer, activist, feminist and actress.
