One Music: Barokksolistene og Solamente Naturali (Norway/Slovakia)

One Music is a collaboration between the Baroque Soloists and the Slovak ensemble Solamente Naturali. The project explores old and new music from the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe and builds musical bridges - between past and present, and between mainstream and more remote musical expressions. 

In this concert, the audience will experience old music taken from archives in the Slavic and Nordic countries, new music - inspired by the old sources - by Jon Balke (NO), Michal Pal'ko and Danile Matej (SL), as well as music from Roma - and the Jewish minorities. The musicians from the Baroque Soloists and Solamente Naturali offer virtuosic interplay at a high temperature as they take us through a musical island landscape, connected by a network of bridges - and storytelling.  

The documentary One Music, made by the Slovak film company Ninja Film, will be shown before the concert.
