Vernissage: Relentless Flow of Time (Belarus)

Meet the artistry of Zhanna Gladko, a brilliant contemporary artist hailing from Belarus. Presently situated in Oslo as an integral part of the Safemuse Artistic Residency's Oslo Safe Artistic Haven program.

Within her artistic creations, Gladko endeavors to craft ambivalent imagery, meticulously reexamining and dismantling concepts spanning art and society, religion and culture, history and memory, gender policy, contemporary museum dynamics, and the intricacies of identity crisis.

Gladko delves into revolutions, protest movements, and the dramatic events unfurling in Belarus and its neighboring regions. Her art has garnered global attention, casting a spotlight on the issues her homeland faces.

In RELENTLESS FLOW OF TIME the artist is interested in the phenomenon of information deformation in the post-truth era, when information flow is characterized by the layering, distortion and devaluation of meanings.
