TIF + Faysal (DJ-set!) (France/Algeria)

On November 1st, the anniversary of the Algerian revolution, one of the country's biggest stars will visit Cosmopolite. This will be a rare opportunity to experience TIF in intimate surroundings. Before the concert Faysal, an accomplished local DJ of Algerian descent, will play music and the social innovator, public speaker and Oslo World friend Nassima Dzair, will give an opening speech. 

Toufik, alias TIF, is currently based in Paris. A rapper and singer in French as well as Arabic, he is a rare talent, possessing pure charisma and a truly special grip on his audience. A vocal supporter of the Palestinian cause and the fight against oppression, he has also been the subject of the documentary On the Corner, which traces his uprooting and journey to a new country.

His career skyrocketed with the hit “3iniya” in 2020. The video was shot in Algiers, and created an audience for him both in Algeria and France. Despite proposals from several large labels, he decided to go at it alone, founding his own record label. In May 2022, his debut album Houma Sweet Houma dropped and was embraced by his growing fan base. His second album, 1.6, became an even bigger success, spearheaded by hit songs such as “Hinata” and “Shadow Boxing”. During Oslo World 2024, one of the most exciting new artists from the Maghreb will perform in Norway for the very first time.
