Club Jæger

Club music isn’t about escapism, but solidarity

As the police killings this summer of innocent black men never seemed to end, the great producer Theo Parrish felt the need to adress a major misunderstanding: No one seemed to remember that house and techno was created as a survival mechanism by the oppressed in the US.

Anyone who has been on a really good club night has surely felt how the dancefloor breaks down the barriers between people; how shaking your butt makes it possible to meet complete strangers as fellow human beings. Oslo World Music Festival is founded on such a vision.

That’s why we couldn’t have had a better partner than Jæger, the spot in Oslo which more than anyone else takes club music seriously. Their eminent house djs will hold the fort during the entire festival.
