Le Vent du Nord from Quebec in Canada has been showered with both critical praise and awards for their way of performing traditional music rooted in celtic music, combined with a range of modern, global influences. They make the audience wish for more. Through energetic, joyful and haunting arrangements, ancient material springs to life. Their four part harmonies are sung in french, and aided by foot percussion. The four musical friends make every concert feel like a saturday night around the dinner table, filled with laughter, food, drink and old memories.
“Exceptionally skilled, exceptionally experienced, and exceptionally entertaining. (…) This new album Têtu digs deep into the tradition, and again it is presented as modern and vital”
