Ballade seeks to highlight and open up discussions concerning multicultural musical expressions. Today, this is marginal: There is little critical reflection on multicultural music, and new voices occur to only a small extent. Multicultural diversity is lacking amongst music journalists and critics. Ballade runs a project that explores the critical discourse on multicultural music. In this panel we will share experiences and discuss how the media can ensure multicultural diversity amongst music journalists and critics, and make room for expressions of opinion on multicultural music.
