Los Thuthanaka and Los Delfines del Amor to Oslo World 2026
The hottest experimental music phenomenon in the world right now, and an energetic and infectious salay dance group from Bolivia.

The noisy, joyful sonic adventures of Los Thuthanaka, the debut release of the duo with the same name, became a sensation when it dropped last year. Exclusively available on Bandcamp, the record got rave reviews and at the end of the year, Pitchfork named it the best album of 2025. We don’t disagree.
Los Thuthanaka feels like a clarion call for experimentalism and independent thinking in music – a potent blend of rhythms from the Andes, psychedelic rock, noise, found sounds, Aymara songs and more. The production is famously and deliberately unmastered, with audio clipping and static being used as part of the ever changing texture. In a world of music where the déjà vu’s and retro exercises are piling up, Los Thuthanaka actually offers the shock of the new. And it is of course also deliriously catchy music.
Founded by the siblings Chuquimamani-Condori & Joshua Chuquimia Crampton, Los Thuthanaka bridges the past, present & future of the Pakajaqui Nation, an indigenous group living around the Andes in South America. Prior to Los Thuthanaka, both siblings had released experimental music, incorporating sound collages, traditional Andean music, noise and psychedelia. When they joined forces, they drew on their engagement with Aymara cultural practices they had learned through participation in ceremonial contexts. Los Thuthanaka is an anticolonialist record, an attack on cultural hierarchies. It revels in endless musical possibilities. They were at the top of our wish list for Oslo World 2026 – and in collaboration with Blå we are proud to be able to present them this fall.
Los Delfines del Amor - Nasjonal Jazzscene - October 31
I Bolivia er Los Delfines del Amor viden kjent for sine energiske, smittende opptredener og sin sterke tilknytning til den tradisjonelle Andes-kulturen. Salay-dansegruppen, som tidligere utelukkende har opptrådt i hjemregionen, gjør sine første opptredener i utlandet i høst.
Gruppen har sitt utspring i Bolivias rikholdige tradisjonsmusikkscene. De spesialiserer seg på salay, en folkedansestil som oppsto i arbeiderklassenabolaget Jaihuayco i byen Cochabamba. Musikkformen er inspirert av den trampende dansestilen som praktiseres under religiøse og rituelle festligheter, og blander musikkstiler fra urbefolkningen med mestizo og mer moderne påvirkninger.
Los Delfines del Amor har blitt store gjennom energisk koreografi, fargerike kostymer og effektiv historiefortelling – både live og i musikkvideoene sine. Gruppen opptrer ofte på festivaler, kulturelle arrangementer og konkurranser. De jobber utrettelig for å fremme boliviansk kulturarv i utlandet. Navnet deres, som oversettes til «Kjærlighetens delfiner», gir en idé om gruppens lekne, lidenskapelige identitet. Los Delfines del Amor ønsker å bevare og videreutvikle salay-tradisjonen for nye generasjoner. I år på Oslo World er vi sikre på at konserten deres vil bli en fest du vil huske. Et stort, for noen kanskje uventet, høydepunkt på festivalen.
